Join the Party - How to Change your Party Affiliation

Voters may change their party affiliation prior to the Primary Election. To change party affiliation voters must complete a new voter registration.  Oregonians can register to vote online or, with the traditional voter registration card.

Registration Deadline for May Primary Election is April 27, 2010

Party changes must be received by 5 PM on the 21st day prior to the Primary. The deadline to receive party changes for the May 18, 2010 Primary is April 27, 2010. Postmarks do not count for party changes.

If you choose the registration card procedure, mail it to arrive before the deadline or hand deliver it to the Multnomah County Elections office at the following address.
