Please join us to hear from filmmaker Former State Rep Curtis Bowers (Caldwell, Idaho) speak to the Multnomah County Republicans about his new film "Agenda 2: Masters of Deceit" at a buffet dinner/fundraiser at La Carreta Mexican Restaurant and Cantina on Thursday evening, June 23rd at 6pm.
This film is a sequel to his 2010 documentary "Agenda: Grinding America Down" which won the 2010 Jubilee Grand Prize at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. You might have heard Mr.Bowers speak back in 2010 when he came to Oregon to promote the documentary that had grown out of a home schooling project with his children. The inspiration for the 2010 film started with a letter to the editor from Mr Bowers to his local newspaper comparing events surrounding President Obama with an agenda he remembered from a Communist Party USA meeting he'd attended two decades ago. It had set off protesters and more letters to editor and culminated in an amazing documentary.
Now Former Rep Curtis Bowers returns to Portland to tell us about making the sequel "Agenda 2: Masters Of Deceit." After dinner we will all be able to view the 85 minute documentary. You won't want to miss this.
Tickets are $25.00 - our price not the restaurant price as this is a fundraising event for the Multnomah County Republican Party. This includes the meal and gratuity. Beverages are sold separately. We will take a goodwill offering for Mr.Bowers to help defray his travel costs. Tickets are available through June 19th. Regretfully, we cannot add diners after June 19th. La Carreta is at the corner of SE Holgate and SE McLoughlin Blvd. It has a parking lot. The banquet room is upstairs. (No elevator available.)
Buffet dishes include: pork chile verde, chile relleno, cheese enchilada, beef and beans burrito, beef flautas, rice and beans.
